Liverpool striker Christian Benteke has claimed that he intends to "keep up" his scoring run after finding the back of the net in his last two games.
The Belgium international scored the only goal in his side's Boxing Day win over Leicester City after coming off the bench.
This evening, Benteke started for the Reds and struck 23 seconds after the break to give Liverpool a 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
"I came to Liverpool to try to score a lot of goals and I'm in good shape," Benteke told Sky Sports News. "Hopefully I can keep it up. As a striker, when you start you have to score and that's why I tried to do that tonight. We won and we can be happy."
Liverpool have moved up to seventh in the Premier League table, level on points with arch rivals Manchester United.
