Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne has praised the team for their defensive form so far this season in the Premier League.
The Reds kept their second clean sheet of the campaign on Monday night as they made it two wins from two with a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth.
While admitting that there is still room for improvement, Clyne believes that Liverpool have done themselves proud at the back during the past two weeks.
"There's a lot of work going on. We have to improve on our defensive qualities and we showed that we can be solid in defence," the 24-year-old England international told the club's official website.
"If we can get a clean sheet, there's always the possibility of picking up maximum points like we did today, so long may the clean sheets continue."
Brendan Rodgers's side return to Premier League action on August 24 when they face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
