Croatia have confirmed that head coach Ante Cacic has held talks with Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren over a row between the pair.
Cacic left the centre-back on the bench for Croatia's 1-1 draw with Hungary in an international friendly on March 26, and accused the player of not warming up.
In an interview with Sportske Novosti, Lovren insisted that he will not apologise and has threatened to withdraw his availability for Euro 2016 if he is not a regular starter.
However, a statement via the Croatian Football Federation's website claimed that Cacic and Lovren have held clear-the-air talks.
"We talked for a long time, and the conversation proceeded in a sincere, spontaneous and open atmosphere," said Cacic.
Croatia's opening group match at the European Championships in France is against Turkey on June 12.
