Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has claimed that current manager Jurgen Klopp is "perfect" for the club despite recent criticism of his playing style.
Klopp's all-action philosophy has seen Liverpool score 13 goals already this season - the best tally outside the top three - but it often comes at a cost, with 12 goals conceded at the other end.
Only West Ham United and Crystal Palace have shipped more goals than the Reds this term, but Dalglish insists that the fans would rather see an attacking brand of football than to scrape 1-0 wins every week.
"We've got the best fella in charge. He's perfect for the club and the club are perfect for him. We appointed the manager because of the way he is. We'd rather score three and concede two than score one and win 1-0," he told the Daily Mail
"His philosophy is attacking football and that's what you get. If that's who you've employed, that's who you want. I think it suits the people of Liverpool. He certainly knows how to get the best out of the players. Defensively every team goes through a spell of losing goals and they can't put their finger on why; an unlucky bounce of the ball here or there. I don't think it'll continue.
"I've no problem whatsoever with the manager on the touchline. It's enthusiastic, standing by the players and supporting them. I've enjoyed watching him since he came in. He's done fantastically well, brought belief back in every area of the club and I'm sure he'll continue to do that and that belief will grow. He'll start the success flowing back."
Liverpool host fierce rivals Manchester United on Saturday knowing that defeat would leave them 10 points adrift of Jose Mourinho's side.
