Serbia coach Ljubinko Drulovic has claimed that Lazar Markovic will impress in England if his proposed move to Liverpool is completed.
Reports have suggested that the 20-year-old has agreed a move to Liverpool from Benfica, and his national team coach is confident that the Premier League will bring out the best in him.
"Markovic made an excellent season at Benfica last year, he evolved a lot," Drulovic is quoted as saying by The Mirror.
"It'll be good for him and Benfica. Going to a very strong league will help him even more to become a major player worldwide.
"He's 20 years old and has a long time to play. Markovic could prove to become a very important player in Europe."
Liverpool have already signed Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can this summer.
