Bolton Wanderers winger Chris Eagles has praised his side's team spirit after overcoming Liverpool at the Reebok Stadium last night.
Eagles, who set up Nigel Reo-Coker to give the home side a 2-0 lead in the first half, admits that he was disappointed not to score, but was pleased with the side's all-around performance against a team such as Liverpool.
"I think I had nine efforts, but it was one of those days for me," he told the club's official website. "The lads tonight will go home and be satisfied, knowing that we have beaten a team like Liverpool.
"They have spent over £100million putting that team together but it shows that money can't buy you everything.
"We have a tremendous team spirit here. The gaffer brings everyone together and that's why I wanted to come here and play for him. It's shown today as we all worked for each other."
The Trotters have moved one point clear of the relegation zone following the win.
