Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has said that captain Steven Gerrard will be back in action "sooner rather than later" following an injury layoff.
The 31-year-old has been sidelined for a month with a ankle infection.
"Steven is getting closer to coming back but we cannot put a date on it," said Dalglish. "There's been no setback. We have said all along that we are really positive about his recuperation.
"Steven's progress has been excellent and he will be back sooner rather than later."
The Reds, who are currently seventh in the Premier League table, travel to Fulham on Monday night.
