Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and full-back Glen Johnson could be fit to face Sunderland this weekend as both have returned to full training.
The Merseyside club have confirmed today that the duo have resumed training with their teammates ahead of the side's trip to the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
Both players were ruled out of the Reds' 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at Anfield last weekend.
Gerrard picked up a hamstring strain during England's 3-2 loss to the Netherlands at Wembley last week, while Johnson suffered a knock in training.
