Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard has revealed that former England striker Gary Lineker was his idol growing up.
The 31-year-old, speaking ahead of England's clash with San Marino on Friday, also revealed that he had a poster of the former Tottenham Hotspur striker on his bedroom wall.
"I had him on my bedroom wall. He was someone who I looked up to growing up," Gerrard told reporters.
Gerrard has 98 England caps to his name.
