Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has said that he has respect for Liverpool strikers Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.
The two sides will face each other at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.
"Liverpool have done fantastically well, and good for them, but our focus will be on ourselves and how we want to impose ourselves on the game," the Daily Mail quotes him as saying. "We know the threat Liverpool pose, particularly at home, and the sort of finishing Suarez and Sturridge are both capable of.
"Suarez is a fantastic player, who has had an exceptional couple of seasons. He is doing great things for Liverpool, not just with his goals but his movement and ability to turn defenders, and I have a lot of respect for him. I'm really pleased for Daniel and not at all surprised by how well he has done since joining them from Chelsea.
"He is a great pro and great player, and he seems happy where he is, which obviously helps. It's not like we were best buddies when he was at City, but he was a good teammate, and, on a personal level, I'm delighted for him that he has taken his opportunity so well and become such a big part of what Liverpool are doing."
Liverpool are currently two points clear of Chelsea at the top of the league table, while City are four points off the pace in third but with two games in hand.
