Liverpool attacker Harvey Elliott has made the top five of Goal's NXGN list for 2022.

The 18-year-old placed 26th last year but has been bumped up 21 places to fifth in the 2022 list, which compiles the 50 best talents born on or after January 1 2003.

Elliott broke into Jurgen Klopp's first XI before sustaining a serious ankle injury against Leeds United in September and has made 10 senior appearances in all tournaments this term - scoring one goal in the FA Cup.

Elliott is one of two Liverpool players on the list, with fellow teenage attacker Kaide Gordon placing 40th after making four senior appearances for the Reds so far this season.

Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham tops the list, while Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz, Barcelona's Gavi and Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala also feature ahead of Elliott.
