Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has urged his teammates to "keep going" in their pursuit of a Champions League place after overcoming Manchester City 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
The 24-year-old opened the scoring at Anfield before Edin Dzeko equalised for the visitors, but Philippe Coutinho curled in the winner to move Brendan Rodgers's men up to fifth in the Premier League table.
Henderson told BBC Sport after the game: "We showed great character to stay in the game and Philippe won it for us with a fantastic goal.
"We have to keep going now, every game is big. Burnley will be a tough game for us, but this result will give us great confidence."
Liverpool are currently level on points with fourth-placed Arsenal, though this will change if the Gunners get a result against Everton, and two points behind Manchester United.
