Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has revealed that he is fine after being on the receiving end of a tackle from Everton midfielder Ross Barkley in Monday's Merseyside derby.
The Reds claimed all three points at Goodison Park as Sadio Mane's injury-time strike proved enough for a 1-0 away win.
Barkley was criticised by pundits for a ferocious lunge on Henderson in the 69th minute, for which he was shown a yellow card by referee Mike Dean.
Henderson told BBC Sport after the game: "It was a bit hectic and a bit wild. We dealt with it well. We knew Everton would come at us from the off.
"[The tackle] was pretty late but I know Ross well - he's a good lad and he mistimed it. He apologised after the match. Thankfully I'm alright.
"It's a derby. When you're on the pitch you give 100% to win the game."
The result sees Jurgen Klopp's charges climb to second in the Premier League table, six points behind leaders Chelsea.
