Jordan Henderson has admitted that any of the Liverpool players could have been taken off in their 4-1 humbling against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The Reds were heavily beaten at Wembley Stadium as they succumbed to a Harry Kane brace and further goals from Son Heung-min and Dele Alli.
Dejan Lovren was caught out by a high ball over the top for the opening goal and was at fault for the second eight minutes later, prompting Jurgen Klopp to replace the Croatian on 31 minutes.
"It is hard for us to come out and defend ourselves. It was not good enough. Tottenham deserved to win. We are a fantastic team but we need to work on some things to put it right," Henderson told BBC Sport after the game.
"We didn't start well. We need to be ready for the game. I know Dejan Lovren came off but it could have been any of us that came off. We got back into it but concede a sloppy goal that kills us. A disappointing day and frustrating.
"We will do everything we can to change it. We have to keep working hard. Deserved criticism will come our way. We need a reaction quickly and bounce back in training and games. But I believe we can."
The result sees Liverpool slip to ninth in the Premier League table.
