Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has congratulated Steven Gerrard on reaching his 100th cap for England.
The Three Lions skipper became England's sixth centurion in Wednesday night's 4-2 defeat to Sweden at The Friends Arena.
"Joining the select band of players who have won 100 caps means he will now be regarded as not just a Liverpool legend, but as one of English football's all-time greats," said Holloway in his column in The Mirror.
"His decision to remain loyal to Liverpool throughout his career may cost him the chance to win the Premier League medal that he craves.
"But I bet he doesn't have any problem looking at himself in the mirror when he shaves every morning."
Gerrard captained Liverpool to a 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic at Anfield on Saturday.
