Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has revealed that he will play no part in this evening's Merseyside derby against Everton at Anfield.
It had been anticipated that the England full-back would be fit enough to take his place in the Reds' starting lineup.
However, he has failed to recover from a leg injury that could rule him out for "a few weeks".
"Wish i was playing tonight!!! Be back in a few weeks," Johnson wrote on Twitter.
Johnson joined Liverpool in 2009 from Portsmouth.
