Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe has vowed to reproduce his pre-season form in the Premier League as he targets increased game time during the 2015-16 campaign.
The 19-year-old stole the headlines in the Reds' 1-1 draw against Malaysia XI earlier today with a thunderous strike to equalise on 28 minutes.
Ibe has been groomed as a potential replacement for Raheem Sterling, who joined Manchester City for £49m last week.
However, the youngster is aware that only goals and assists in competitive outings will see him stake a claim for regular opportunities this season.
"In the front three, you need to have an end product so to get assists and goals is important," he told LFC TV.
"It's good to get them in pre-season, now I want to get them in the Premier League. The number one aim for me is to get goals when I get the chance."
Manager Brendan Rodgers has welcomed a raft of talent to Anfield so far this summer, including Danny Ings, Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke.
Ibe, who had a loan spell with Derby County last term, made 12 Premier League appearances in total.
