Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has suggested that he has already seen some development from the club's players during his early time in charge.
The German manager was close to claiming his first victory at the Anfield club before having to settle for a late draw against Southampton, but Klopp has since stated that his players are already making progress despite not beating Ronald Koeman's men.
"There were many good moments in the game," said Klopp, according to BT Sport.
"We can talk about why we didn't make the next step but we all know it takes time and I see development. But the other teams don't wait for us. They want to beat us and I am sure you don't think it was an easy game for us.
"We have to understand that it is football, all of us. We don't get help from outside because we have to deliver results all the time. We haven't lost until now against not the worst teams in the league and that is okay, but it is not enough."
Klopp has drawn all three of his games since taking over at Liverpool.
