Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he has said "too much shit in the past" in reference to his "heavy-metal football" claims.

The German coach, who spent seven years as Borussia Dortmund manager before leaving in the summer, has been asked about his football philosophy since taking charge of the Reds last month.

In an old interview, Klopp described his style as like "heavy metal" music, but the 48-year-old has indicated that he does not want to be known for that.

In today's press conference prior to Thursday's Europa League match against Rubin Kazan, Klopp said: "The problem with my life is that I've said too much shit in the past and no-one forgets it.

"The Europa League is a big challenge for us. We are here to do our best. If we have to work hard for 95 or 96 mins then we have to do that.

"We've had no time to see the city yet, but we are not here to visit Kazan. The dressing room is much bigger than in Liverpool but I haven't seen the pitch yet."

Klopp claimed his first Premier League win as Liverpool boss in last weekend's 3-1 triumph over Chelsea.
