Liverpool are reportedly currently in talks with defender Joe Gomez over a new and improved contract.
Gomez missed last season's Champions League final and the 2018 World Cup with an ankle injury, and underwent surgery during the summer to fix the issue.
The 21-year-old has been an ever-present for Liverpool in the early weeks of the 2018-19 campaign, and also impressed for England in their 2-1 defeat to Spain in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday night.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool are keen to reward Gomez's progress in recent months, and the Reds will offer him a new deal despite having four years left to run on his current contract.
Gomez, who joined Liverpool from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2015, has previously played right-back for his Merseyside club, but is currently turning out alongside Virgil van Dijk in central defence.
