Captain Steven Gerrard has hailed the character that his Liverpool team showed during their 2-1 victory over Aston Villa earlier today.
The Reds trailed 1-0 at half time, but a goal from Jordan Henderson and a converted penalty by Gerrard sealed all three points for Brendan Rodgers's team.
"I was glad to get on the scoresheet with the penalty but the header at the other end probably won us the game along with all the other saves and blocks," he told Sky Sports News.
"The manager told us at half time to take a few more risks in their half and have a bit more belief. Sometimes when you go a goal behind you can feel sorry for yourselves, but we rolled our sleeves up."
The win has moved Liverpool up to seventh in the Premier League table.
