Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate has paid tribute to the Anfield atmosphere during an "amazing" home debut against Osasuna on Monday.
The former RB Leipzig man lined up from the first whistle on Merseyside for Liverpool's final pre-season friendly before being taken off in the 80th minute of a 3-1 success.
Following the full-time whistle, Konate spoke highly of his side's performance before quickly turning his attention to his upcoming competitive exploits with Liverpool.
Speaking to LFCTV, Konate said: "I don't have the words to explain the feeling when my first foot hit the pitch. I think we played very well together - I am very happy with my performance but it was the last friendly game. Now the season starts and I am very excited for this moment.
"Joe, Virg - everybody - I am very happy to be here with this team. We were together for four weeks, it was hard but the atmosphere was very good. Now I hope we are ready for the Premier League.
"Today was amazing. I cannot imagine the stadium in the Premier League or the Champions League."
An own goal from Jesus Areso put Liverpool ahead before Roberto Firmino's double saw the Reds go 3-0 up by half time, while Kike Garcia pulled one back for Osasuna in the 70th minute. body check tags ::
