Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has said that his knee injury is not serious and hopes to be back in action in "a few weeks".
The 27-year-old suffered ligament damage during his side's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday and was expected to be sidelined for two months.
"I would like to let you know that my injury isn't serious and I will be back in a few weeks," he wrote on his Twitter page.
Liverpool are currently fourth in the league table with 43 points from 22 matches.
