Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has said that he was "happy" to help his side earn a point against Chelsea in Tuesday night's Premier League clash at Anfield.
Chelsea had the chance to win the match in the 76th minute after Joel Matip brought Diego Costa to the ground inside the penalty box, but Mignolet kept out Costa's low spot kick.
The away side made the breakthrough in the 25th minute with a long-range free kick from David Luiz, and Mignolet has conceded that he 'did not hear the whistle' when he was lining up his wall.
"I'm happy that I could make the save. But the feeling is we're disappointed not to take three points. If we feel like that against Chelsea who are leading and scoring a lot of goals then it shows how hungry we are. I think we deserved three points," Mignolet told BT Sport.
"I didn't hear the whistle and he hit it early. It is a difficult feeling. He hit it well but I'm disappointed."
Liverpool remain fourth in the Premier League table on 46 points, while runaway leaders Chelsea have stretched their lead over second-placed Tottenham Hotspur to nine points.
