James Milner has admitted that he was "disappointed" by Liverpool's failure to collect maximum points from their home encounter with Chelsea this evening.
It looked as though the Reds were going to end the clash empty handed until substitute Christian Benteke pounced in stoppage time to secure a 1-1 draw.
Even so, rather than see it as a point gained, Milner instead was downbeat after the final whistle.
"We are disappointed not to win. They're obviously a good team, but we know we can play better than we did," he told the club's official website.
"We showed in patches what we could, but we were a yard or two off it tonight for whatever reason. That is disappointing, but we showed that character to keep going until the end."
Liverpool's season concludes this Sunday with a trip to West Bromwich Albion.
