Several Liverpool players are unhappy with the apparent favouritism shown by boss Brendan Rodgers towards Mario Balotelli, according to a report.
The Reds dressing room have allegedly grown frustrated with Rodgers's persistence in playing the Italy striker, despite his poor performances since his £16m move from AC Milan in the summer.
A senior member of the squad has also reportedly discussed the matter with the 41-year-old as Balotelli continues to feature in the Liverpool side, even though he has yet to find the net in the Premier League for the club.
A source told The People: "There is a growing sense of frustration. It seems no matter how badly Mario plays, he's in the team.
"It's almost like the manager is trying to prove a point, playing him until he scores."
Liverpool face Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash at Selhurst Park later today.
