Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted that his team will become more fluid as the season continues.
The Reds secured victory in their opening Premier League encounter with a 2-1 win over Southampton, and Rodgers has suggested that the team will become more efficient as his players find their feet following time off in the summer.
"I was very, very pleased and very happy we won the game," said Rodgers, according to the London Evening Standard.
"Of course, we will perform better and that fluidity will get better as the season goes on. You have to understand a lot of players are coming back late."
Liverpool's next fixture sees them travel to champions Manchester City on Monday night.
