Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that Raheem Sterling is "the best young player in European football" following his performance in Sunday's 3-2 win over Norwich City.
The 19-year-old winger scored two goals at Carrow Road as the Reds moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
"I think he is the best young player in European football at the moment," the Northern Irishman told Sky Sports News.
"He is 19 years of age and I don't see anyone better. He is intelligent with the ball and he has been concentrating on scoring goals.
"His overall performance has shown so much maturity and, for me, he is the best young player in European football at the moment."
Liverpool continue their bid for the Premier League crown next Sunday when they face title rivals Chelsea at Anfield.
