Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has praised Simon Mignolet after the Reds beat Stoke City 1-0 at Anfield on Saturday.
The Belgium goalkeeper has come under criticism for some of his performances this season, but Rodgers thought that Mignolet was instrumental against the Potters as Liverpool ended a five-match winless run.
He told reporters after the game: "I just asked him to simplify his game and do what he's good at, which is shot-stopping. He came for a couple of crosses, especially at the end when the pressure is on and it becomes a war with all the big players.
"He made a couple of great saves and I'm very pleased for him because he's a good guy who's working very hard at his game. I thought he made a couple of great saves there."
The Merseysiders resume their Premier League campaign when they travel to Leicester City on Tuesday evening.
