Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has played down the severity of Daniel Sturridge's injury after the England striker was forced to miss their meeting with AC Milan.
The Reds recorded a 2-0 win against the Italian side in Charlotte, North Carolina, but Sturridge had to withdraw from the game after picking up a knock.
Rodgers told the club's official website: "Dan has flown back to the UK. He wasn't going to be ready for the game on Monday - but there's no concern there, he'll be ready for Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.
"It was just best to get him back early, back to the training ground so he could get some treatment there.
"He had a really, really slight feeling in his hamstring. It's nothing major."
Sturridge will be absent for Monday's International Champions Cup final against Manchester United.
