Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he is pleased with the progress that his team has made this season.
The Reds experienced a disastrous start to the Premier League campaign, but three wins from their last five matches have moved them to within four points of the Champions League places.
"You're always striving to have more and be better but as I sit here today, having experienced the last six months, I'm quietly pleased with how it's evolving," Rodgers told reporters.
"We're a long way off where I want us to be, of course, but we've shown we're making good progress.
"The great encouragement is we're only going to get better."
