Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he was unhappy with the state of the pitch during his side's 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns in the Premier League this afternoon.
The Reds struggled to find their usual free-flowing style in attack during the match, with the likes of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge more subdued than they have been for the majority of the season.
"The pitch is very poor for modern football and the money spent on stadia and pitches. I've been here a number of times before and it is always an outstanding pitch," Rodgers is quoted as saying by PA.
The result saw Liverpool miss the chance to move within one point of third-placed Chelsea, while they also now lead fifth-placed Everton by just two points.
