Roma have moved to stamp out reports that they are planning to table a bid for Luis Suarez.
The Uruguayan striker's future at Liverpool was cast into uncertainty following his race row with Patrice Evra, but the Italian giants insist that they have not made an approach for the player.
"There is no negotiation going on for Suarez," Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini told Radio Mana Mana.
"Even though he's had a few problems recently, he's a really strong player, but these are only transfer rumours."
Suarez, who still has four years remaining on his Liverpool contract, has pledged his future to the Anfield club.
However, this has not dispelled rumours linking him with Serie A. Juventus were also linked with the forward earlier this week.
