Former Liverpool striker Ian Rush believes that Iago Aspas will prove to be an "exciting" addition to the Reds squad this season.
The Spaniard completed a reported £7.7m switch from Celta Vigo at the weekend, making him one of four signings acquired by the Merseyside outfit so far this summer.
"It's a very exciting addition to the squad," the Liverpool Echo quotes Rush as saying. "He comes from Spain so he'll know what to expect. It will be different playing in the Premier League but the football Liverpool play will most probably suit him.
"He will be given chances and let's hope he can take them because he does look a fine prospect. He has a proven record in Spain and I just believe the football Liverpool play, and they try to play total football, will suit him."
The Reds have also added defender Kolo Toure, forward Luis Alberto and goalkeeper Simon Mignolet to their books.
