Liverpool midfielder Nuri Sahin has declared that he would be more effective for the Reds in a deeper role.
Sahin has spent the majority of his loan spell from Real Madrid playing behind Luis Suarez in an advanced position.
The Turkish international thinks that he would be able to contribute more if Brendan Rodgers allowed him to play in his preferred position.
He told reporters: "I've played my whole career deeper but I have played as a number ten here.
"It was new for me but I tried my best. If I could choose a position it would be holding as I feel more comfortable there."
The 24-year-old has played seven times in the Premier League for Liverpool this season.
