Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has suggested that striker Daniel Sturridge will be fit for Sunday's match against Hull City after he trained "exceptionally well".
The Northern Irishman expressed concern over the forward's fitness after his return from international duty with England last week.
The 24-year-old came off the bench in last weekend's Merseyside derby to score and secure a 3-3 draw at Goodison Park.
"We've got another day to go to prepare and see where all the players are at," Rodgers said in a press conference.
"I like to give all the players every chance to show that they can be in the team. He has worked exceptionally well and, when he does that, his quality is there for everyone to see."
Liverpool are currently four points adrift of leaders Arsenal in the Premier League table.
