Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has warned Everton that they won't repeat the mistakes they made against Middlesbrough in the League Cup.
Middlesbrough forced a penalty shootout with Liverpool on Tuesday after the game went to extra time, with a Patrick Bamford equalising penalty coming in the 120th minute courtesy of a Toure challenge.
Liverpool edged through to the fourth round after 30 penalties were taken but were defensively weak during normal time, conceding twice to the Championship side.
"We will learn from our mistakes and prepare for what we know will be a tough game," the defender told the Liverpool Echo.
"We beat them 4-0 here last season and I am sure they will know we are really quick going forward.
"We can't think about any other games coming up, we need to focus on Everton and give everything to this game."
