Liverpool and Norwich City played out a 1-1 draw in their Premier League clash at Anfield.

Danny Ings notched his first goal for the Reds after he came on a substitute at the break and slotted his strike past John Ruddy.

However, the Canaries responded as they equalised through Russell Martin, which was enough to secure the point for Alex Neil's men.

LIVERPOOL

Goal

Simon Mignolet: Made the crucial error to allow Norwich to equalise as he fumbled the ball when he came to claim the corner from Robbie Brady. However, he did make one good stop to deny Jarvis. (5/10)

Defence

Nathaniel Clyne: Had a strong impact in the first half as he made surging runs into the final third. Faded drastically in the second half and was not an influence in his side's attacking play. (6/10)

Martin Skrtel: Relatively untroubled throughout the contest and was dominant in the air against Jerome. Not much he could do for the goal following Mignolet's mistake. (7/10)

Mamadou Sakho: Had a strong game as he was able to move with Jerome to quell his threat for the majority of the match. (7/10)

Emre Can: Played as part of back three with Sakho and Skrtel and did not look out of place. Distributed the ball well to the midfield and was solid in the air. (7/10)

Alberto Moreno: Liverpool's best player over the course of the afternoon as he was a constant threat down the left. He provided several dangerous balls into the box and came close to finding the net himself with a stinging shot that was saved by Ruddy. (8/10)

Midfield

Lucas Leiva: Tidy in possession and provided a strong shield in front of the back three. Pressed Howson and played the ball over the top for Ings to fire the Reds ahead. (7/10)

James Milner: Full of effort throughout the match, but lacked quality when he needed it in the final third. Was booked in the third minute. (5/10)

Philippe Coutinho: Not his best game as he struggled to carve out chances in the final third. Missed a chance he would usually take late in the game when he lost his composure and saw his strike saved by Ruddy. (5/10)

Attack

Christian Benteke: Tried to link up with Sturridge, but both players failed to find a rhythm. Sustained a hamstring injury and was withdrawn at the break. (5/10)

Daniel Sturridge: Showed a few nice touches on his return to the team following his injury layoff. Had one good chance to find the net, but fired his effort straight at Ruddy. A solid comeback from the 26-year-old. (6/10)

Substitutes

Danny Ings: Provided his team with a much-needed spark and displayed his composure to hand them the lead with a fine left-footed strike through Ruddy. Impressive outing from the former Burnley man. (8/10)

Adam Lallana: Made one decent run that almost yielded a chance for Ings, but struggled to carve out many openings for himself or the team in his time on the pitch. (6/10)

Roberto Firmino: Should have had an assist when he released the run of Coutinho, only for the midfielder to miss his one-on-one. Still looked off the pace as he tries to settle into life in the Premier League. (6/10)

NORWICH

Goal

John Ruddy: Made one impressive save to deny Coutinho late in the game, and had a few other solid stops to help his side earn the point. (7/10)

Defence

Steven Whittaker: Made a few good runs into the final third, after seeming reluctant in the first half. Was troubled by the threat of Moreno down his flank as Redmond did not provide much support. (6/10)

Sebastien Bassong: Solid afternoon for the defender as he stood up to the physical challenge of Benteke and the quickness of Sturridge to help secure the point for his team. (7/10)

Russell Martin: Had a busy day as he rushed back on the morning after becoming a father in the early hours. His display seemed to indicate a lack of concentration as he misplaced a few passes, one which led to the Liverpool goal. However, he atoned for his mistake with a neat finish to net the equaliser. (7/10)

Robbie Brady: Was not allowed to be the threat he can be down the left. Provided the cross for his side's goal, which was mishandled by Mignolet. Improved defensive as the game wore on after initially struggling in the first half. (7/10)

Midfield

Alex Tettey: Provided good protection for his back four over the course of the contest. Received a needless booking for dissent after challenging Lucas, which was his fifth of the season in just six games. (6/10)

Jonny Howson: Made a few nice passes in the match and tried to link up with Jerome when he could. Was put under pressure by Lucas for the incident that led to the goal, where he could have been stronger. (7/10)

Graham Dorrans: Strong defensive display from the midfielder as he always tracked his runners, while he was also strong in the tackle. For an attacking-minded player showed good awareness at the back. (7/10)

Matt Jarvis: Tracked back well in the second half to help counter the threat of Clyne raiding forward. Had one good chance to put his side ahead, but was denied by Mignolet. (6/10)

Nathan Redmond: Did not have his best outing as he struggled with his defensive duties when tracking Moreno, and did not get into the game in the final third. (5/10)

Attack

Cameron Jerome: Led the line well, but he was isolated at times. His attacking threat was limited, although he did hold the ball to allow his teammates respite from Liverpool attacks for a spell in the first half. (6/10)

Substitutes

Lewis Grabban: Replaced Jerome and did not make an impact on his time on the field as his side put men behind the ball. (5/10)

Gary O'Neil: On late to help provide a defensive shield for his side to hold out for the point. (6/10)
