Liverpool lineup vs. Wolves: Predicted XI for Premier League contest

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has the best kind of attacking dilemma to solve for Saturday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

The Reds head to the West Midlands on the back of a 5-1 thumping of West Ham United in the EFL Cup, where Diogo Jota netted twice after being dropped for last weekend's top-flight win over Bournemouth.

Darwin Nunez - who also started, laid on an assist and played the full 90 in midweek - made his first start of the Premier League season in that victory over the Cherries, where he notched the Reds' third strike with a fabulous strike into the bottom corner.

However, as the Uruguayan saw out the win over West Ham while Jota came off just before the hour, the Portuguese might be given the nod on account of having slightly fresher legs if nothing else.

Jota would spearhead a fearsome attacking unit also comprising Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz, the latter of whom has had a direct hand in six goals in his last four Premier League appearances.

Alexis Mac Allister and the rejuvenated Ryan Gravenberch are in line for recalls to the middle of the park, as are Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate in the heart of defence, where the pair could protect Caoimhin Kelleher once more if Alisson Becker's hamstring issue does not settle down in time.

Locked together on 59 assists in the Premier League, Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold - who now boasts 100 goal contributions in a Liverpool shirt - will oust Kostas Tsimikas and Conor Bradley from the full-back positions.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota
