Liverpool have beaten West Ham United 4-1 in their Premier League meeting at Anfield.
Luis Suarez came close for Liverpool early on, but he placed his low effort straight into the hands of the keeper.
The home side dominated throughout the half, and Jordan Henderson was unlucky to see his curling effort deflect wide off Suarez.
Matt Jarvis threatened for West Ham United, as he broke forward and flashed a strike across goal that none of his teammates could connect with.
Raheem Sterling should have given Liverpool the lead when he was slipped through on goal, but he poked his effort wide with just the keeper to beat.
Liverpool took the lead three minutes from the break. Suarez saw his low shot saved by Jussi Jaaskelainen, but the rebound cannoned off Guy Demel and into his own net.
The hosts extended their lead just two minutes into the second half when Mamadou Sakho poked Steven Gerrard's free kick past the keeper, with James Collins unable to stop it on the line.
West Ham were allowed a route back into the game as Martin Skrtel put Jarvis's cross into his own net.
They came close to a second soon after when Collins fired in a low shot that Modibo Maiga was unable to reach.
Kevin Nolan was sent off for the away side after a foul on Henderson, before Suarez scored Liverpool's third with 10 minutes left to play, as he headed in Glen Johnson's cross at the back post.
The home side's victory was secured moments later, as Suarez's strike from the edge of the box took a huge deflection of Joey O'Brien, before sailing over the keeper and into the net.
