Brendan Rodgers "150 percent" sure Liverpool will not sack him

Brendan Rodgers says that he is "150%" sure that he will still be in charge of Liverpool at the start of the 2015-16 campaign.

Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he is expecting to remain in charge of Liverpool beyond what has proven a difficult season at Anfield.

Speculation had mounted that the Reds' hierarchy could part ways with the Northern Irishman this summer after failing to build on Liverpool's second-place Premier League finish last term.

The Merseysiders, who sit fifth, will finish outside the top four, losing their Champions League status in the process, and were eliminated from the FA Cup by Aston Villa at the semi-final stage last month.

Jurgen Klopp fuelled rumours of a switch to England after announcing that he would quit Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season, but Rodgers is certain that his job is safe.

Asked if he would be at Anfield by the start of the 2015-16 campaign, he told reporters: "Yes, 150%.

"I'm constantly reviewing with the owners. There is probably a lot more made of that than what it actually is. There is nothing different. There have been a number of reviews.

"Throughout the season I've had great communication with the owners, I'll speak with them at the end of the season like I did last year, like I did at the end of my first year, and like I've done intermittently throughout the season."

Rodgers's side conclude the season with a visit to Stoke City on Sunday afternoon.
