Jurgen Klopp keeps faith in James Milner and Diogo Jota as Liverpool name an unchanged XI for the Premier League visit of Manchester City.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has named both James Milner and Diogo Jota in the starting lineup for Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester City.

The Reds lost Trent Alexander-Arnold to a muscular problem before the Champions League thrashing of Porto, with Milner deputising at right-back while Neco Williams returned to the fold.

Jota also held his place up top in midweek, but Roberto Firmino bagged a brace off the bench to put his name in the hat for a start against Pep Guardiola's side.

However, Klopp has kept faith in both Milner and Jota for the visit of the champions, with the Reds unchanged from the 5-1 win at the Estadio do Dragao.

Curtis Jones earns another start in midfield alongside Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, while Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk once again pair up in the heart of defence and Divock Origi is out through illness.

Liverpool starting XI: Alisson; Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Jones; Salah, Jota, Mane
