Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Alex Teixeira has revealed that his potential switch to Liverpool this month is entirely in the Ukrainian club's hands.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield during the January transfer window, with the Premier League outfit understood to have had a bid of around £24m turned down.
The price remains a sticking point in negotiations, with Donetsk reportedly holding out for as much as £40m, but Teixeira has insisted that he is keen on making the switch.
"Liverpool are a huge club. So many great players have passed through there," he told NBC.
"I want to be there. But that is up to the club president now. I can only hope. It is frustrating. So now I'm just waiting, trying to be patient."
The 26-year-old joined Shakhtar in 2010 and has since gone on to help the club to five league titles and three domestic cups.
