Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has confirmed that he has no plans to leave Anfield before his contract expires at the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
The Brazil international is still regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers on the planet, but injuries have started to rear their ugly heads more frequently over the past couple of seasons.
Alisson has missed Liverpool's last nine games in all competitions with the hamstring problem he sustained against Crystal Palace on October 5, since when Caoimhin Kelleher has shone in between the posts again.
The Reds will also be integrating £29m signing Giorgi Mamardashvili into the ranks next summer following his arrival from Valencia, while Vitezslav Jaros is also bidding to make his Anfield breakthrough.
The uncertainty surrounding Liverpool's goalkeeper situation and Alisson's recent fitness woes have heightened speculation that the 32-year-old could be on the move next year, especially if Mamardashvili steals the number one spot straight away.
Alisson open to Brazil transfer after Liverpool exit
As well as the Saudi Pro League, Alisson has been linked with a shock move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, who apparently wish to enlist the help of Liverpool goalkeeping coach Claudio Taffarel to persuade the 32-year-old to leave the Reds next year.
However, the Liverpool shot-stopper recently told OneFootball that he wants to fulfil his Reds contract until the summer of 2027, at which point he would be open to exploring new opportunities.
"I have a three-year contract with Liverpool. I think the future is not definitive for anyone but within football I hope to fulfil my contract here in England and then, after that I'm open," Alisson said, before talking up a future return to Internacional.
The South American represented the Brazilian team between 2013 and 2016, making 101 appearances in all competitions and keeping 47 clean sheets before being poached by Roma.
Alisson can see himself back at Inter when his Liverpool deal runs its course, adding: "I watch all Inter's games. there is always that feeling of good memories and desire to wear the Inter shirt again."
Alisson details injury recovery as contract decision confirmed
Alisson returned to partial training before the 3-2 win at Southampton last weekend, but he was not considered for selection for that trip or the midweek Champions League success over Real Madrid.
Sunday's mouthwatering Premier League battle with Manchester City is also expected to come too soon for the goalkeeper to come back from his hamstring problem, but he nevertheless shared a positive injury update to the publication.
"My recovery is going very well," Alisson added. "It's been seven weeks since the day of the injury. It was a tendon injury in the hamstring, so whenever it involves a tendon it is something more delicate.
"Since I had an injury a few days before, a couple of weeks before, it requires even greater care and longer recovery time. So everything is going very well, as planned."
Alisson has kept 119 clean sheets in 271 matches for Liverpool, who will move 11 points clear of Man City at the top of the Premier League table with victory in Sunday's headline act. body check tags ::
