West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that he will discuss his budget for the January transfer window with the club's owners in the next couple of weeks.
The former Bolton Wanderers boss wants to add to his squad at Upton Park in January, and revealed that he could move for former Hammers midfielder Joe Cole if given the go-ahead.
Allardyce told reporters: "My chairmen extended as much money as they possibly could in August - and went beyond it.
"Whether they can find any more or not is something I will discuss with them in the near future.
"I think if there is a chance [of bringing Cole back to Upton Park], it would be more on the terms of a loan, than on a permanent deal for the player."
Cole made 150 appearances for West Ham at the start of his career before sealing a multi-million pound move to Chelsea.
