Atletico Madrid are reportedly considering an audacious £50m move for Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah once their transfer ban expires in January.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly planning a surprise move for in-form Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah during the January transfer window.

Salah only joined the Reds in the summer, but his blistering start to life at Anfield has caught the attention of a number of clubs, with the Egypt international scoring 12 times across all competitions already.

A brace in Saturday's 4-1 win over West Ham United took his Premier League tally up to seven in 11 games, with only Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero having found the back of the net more often in the top flight so far this season.

El Gol Digital claims that Atletico are now lining up an audacious bid for the winger once their transfer ban expires in January and are willing to spend up to £50m to prise Salah away from Merseyside.

The Spanish outfit are also considering a swap deal for Yannick Carrasco, although it is understood that Liverpool would be unwilling to consider such an arrangement.

Atletico have drawn five of their opening 11 La Liga games to sit fourth in the table, while Liverpool are fifth in the Premier League.
