Barcelona and Liverpool could battle for Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore in January, according to a report.

Barcelona and Liverpool could reportedly go head-to-head for the signature of Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore during the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old has again been a regular for Wolves during the 2021-22 campaign, making 12 appearances, although he is yet to register a goal or an assist this term.

Traore's current deal at Molineux is due to expire in June 2023, and according to 90min, Bruno Lage's side could let him leave in January as talks over an extension continue to stall.

The report claims that Liverpool are interested in the Spain international, as Reds boss Jurgen Klopp looks to boost his attack at the start of 2022.

However, Barcelona are also allegedly keen to re-sign the player that turned out for the Catalan giants between 2004 and 2015 before leaving for Aston Villa.

Traore, who is reportedly admired by new Blaugrana boss Xavi, has scored 10 times and registered 18 assists in 143 appearances for Wolves in all competitions. body check tags ::
