Fabio Borini's proposed move to Queens Park Rangers has been held up due to the player's wage demands, according to reports.
The Liverpool striker has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, with Sunderland reportedly having agreed a fee for the Italian earlier this month.
However, QPR have now emerged as frontrunners for the 23-year-old and are understood to have agreed a fee of £10m that could rise to £13m.
Personal terms are yet to be agreed, though, with Borini thought to be holding out for a £90,000-a-week deal, while QPR have offered £58,000-per-week.
Borini spent last season on loan with Sunderland, scoring 10 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions.
