Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has said that Craig Bellamy is a great signing for the club.
The 32-year-old striker returned to Anfield from Manchester City on a free transfer yesterday (Wednesday), four years after a previous spell.
"It's a great signing. As a kid he always said he was a Liverpool fan," said Carragher.
"I think he was quite disappointed with how it finished [last time], with how he left. He'd have liked to have done a lot better and hopefully this gives him the chance to do that.
"For the last few years at Man City he has been excellent, not just as a striker but as a wide player," he added.
Bellamy signed for Liverpool in 2006 from Blackburn Rovers but was sold on in 2007 to West Ham United.
