Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has insisted that manager Brendan Rodgers is right to isolate Luis Suarez in training.
Rodgers blasted Suarez for a recent interview in which the Uruguayan claimed that the club promised to sell him.
He has reportedly been made to train alone, and Carragher believes that it is the right course of action.
"I know Luis and I've played with him in the last couple of years, and he's a warrior," Carragher told Sky Sports News. "He's a fighter on the pitch and every day in training.
"I went in on Friday before Stevie's (Steven Gerrard) testimonial and it wasn't the Luis Suarez I knew. I think it's right for Brendan to take him out of the group, because no player is bigger than the team.
"He's not going to be playing because he's banned, so Liverpool need to concentrate on getting it right for the first game of the season against Stoke [City]."
Arsenal have been heavily linked with Suarez during the summer and will reportedly offer £51m for him.
